Abstract Sea (2017-current)

For more than 20 years I have found solace in the ocean and it was one of the first things I turned my attention to when I picked up a camera again. As soon as I could manage I put it in an underwater housing and began to try and capture the ocean in my own unique way. Many photographers before me have used the ocean as a canvas for their work so it can be challenging to come away with images that are unique, however I think the process itself is what is so alluring, rather than the end result. This series of work will likely never have an end point, as the act of immersing myself in the sea is more therapeutic than to seemingly have captured 'enough' of what I see while amongst it. I will constantly add to this collection, the only changes being my style evolving over the years and where my attention is drawn within this aspect of the natural world.
