During September of 2025, I spent some time in the magical Lofoten Islands of Norway.

Almost as far away from my home that I can get on the planet and an outdoor enthusiasts playground. After a week of exploring by myself, I joined Alex Strohl and a small crew of likeminded creatives for a week of shooting and exploring.
These images came from an afternoon of hiking, climbing and trail running for some of CamelBak's hydration packs. On reaching the summit of Hustinden, we were completely clouded out as light rain moved in from the ocean. But as is common with weather in the far north, it soon broke enough for some of the wildest sunset light I'd ever experienced to shine through. After making the most of the conditions, we ended up hiking back down as darkness fell, exhausted but stoked to have had the experience.

There was no real reason to climb to where we did other than the thought of, "let's just see what's up there?", and more often than not, that's the aspect of telling a story that ends in the greatest reward. We could have been rained out and had a long, wet walk home...but we weren't.
